Usha Vance ( AKA Usha Chilukuri Vance) is a litigator in the San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
In a wide range of industries, including higher education, municipal government, entertainment, and technology, her work concentrates on complicated civil litigation and appeals.
After serving as a law clerk for Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. of the US Supreme Court, Ms. Vance returned to the business. Additionally, she served as a law clerk for Judge Amul Thapar of the U.S. Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the U.S and District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky . Ms. Vance got her law degree from Yale Law School, where she also served as managing editor of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology and executive development editor of the Yale Law Journal. She participated in the the Media Freedom, Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project and Information Access Clinic, and the Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic while she was a student at Yale.
She received her B.A. in history from Yale University and her M.Phil. as a Gates Cambridge Scholar at the University of Cambridge. Ms. Vance taught American history as a Yale-China Teaching Fellow at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China, before starting law school.
In Cincinnati, Ohio, Ms. Vance resides with her husband and three kids. She has held positions as secretary of the board of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra as well as a seat on the Gates Cambridge Alumni Association board.
She studied history at Yale University and obtained a master’s degree in early modern history from the University of Cambridge, according to her “LinkedIn profile.”
In 2014 and 2015, she worked as a law clerk at the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and in 2017 and 2018, she worked at the US Supreme Court.

The Ohio Senate seat was up for grabs after Republican Rob Portman announced his retirement on Tuesday evening. Best-selling novelist and politician JD Vance defeated Tim Ryan and won the seat.
He attracted media attention the same year during the US presidential campaign.
Usha and Vance became friends while they were fellow students at Yale Law School.
Vance obtained his Juris Doctor from the law school after completing his BA from Ohio State University.
Usha mentioned Vance’s “wonderful attitude” throughout their time at school and mentioned that he “felt quite different” from other students in a “interview with NBC News” with Megyn Kelly in 2017.
Usha worked as the managing editor of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology and the executive development editor of the Yale Law Journal while she was a law student.
Who is JD Vance ?
JD was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, a formerly prosperous manufacturing community in the United States where residents of Ohio could have happy, middle-class lives on a single income. After his book was a bestseller, JD gained notoriety as a respected network commentator who vociferously supported Americans of the working class. He had witnessed far too many lives destroyed by addiction, job loss, and economic instability.
In order to launch a Cincinnati-based company that focuses on expanding businesses that produce well-paying jobs, JD returned to Ohio in 2017. Due to unfair competition from China and their own government, which frequently favours international technological enterprises over Ohio small businesses, many American businesses struggle, as JD learned from his own business experience.
Instead of a professional politician who has done nothing for the people of Ohio, the U.S. Senate needs someone who understands what it’s like to live in a community that is left behind.
On May 3, JD received the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate.
USHA Vance and JD VANCE’S FAMILY
Parents of three young children, Vance and Usha reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. As reported by Heavy , they spent approximately $1.4 million on their family’s home in 2018.
On his official website, the politician from the Republican party is shown with Usha and their two sons. While the name of their second kid is yet unknown, their first child, a son named Ewan Blaine, was born in 2017.
Usha and Vance revealed the birth of their third child, a daughter they named Mirabel Rose Vance, in December 2021.
This year, JD Vance Tweeted “We were blessed with an early Christmas present Everyone please meet Mirabel Rose Vance, our first girl. Mama and baby both doing great, and we’re feeling very grateful this Christmas season.”
